Ailsa is a specialist respiratory physiotherapist at Royal Papworth Hospital and comes to South Cambs Physio one day a week for hands on clinics and carries out respiratory home visits.
Ailsa has extensive experience in the assessment and management of acute and long term conditions such as COPD, bronchiectasis, CF, Interstitial lung disease as well as respiratory failure and secretion management in neuromuscular conditions. She has completed specialist respiratory courses in Buteyko and the Bradcliff method, both of which are ideal for breathing pattern disorder retraining for breathless patients.
Ailsa worked through the pandemic both in critical care and then in clinics assessing and treating long covid and post viral patients presenting with respiratory issues. She gained in depth experience at Guys, St Thomas’ and at the Chelsea & Westminster hospitals.
